This is a difficult post to write. Like so many, I am shocked and outraged by the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. And I'm dismayed by the chaos and ugliness that has followed it. I'm also reminded of a lesson that continually presents itself in our history. Even in the most bitter situations, we need to keep talking with one another. For sure, talk alone won't solve our problems. And honestly, I'm not sure what to say. But without open and constructive dialogue, we can't even begin to bridge the gaps that divide us. If we can't talk about problems, then we are certainly not finding solutions. That's why, as a business owner, and a human being, I'm committed to active dialogue with my community. Even when it gets uncomfortable. I urge you to do the same.
